The Mechanical Engineer will design and develop efficient and cost-effective power supplies per customer and regulatory specifications, working in a team environment with hardware engineers, electrical engineers, and program managers.
Requirements
- Design and develop efficient and cost-effective power supplies per customer and regulatory specifications
- Work in a team environment with hardware engineers, electrical engineers, firmware engineers, and program managers
- Utilize strong communication and team skills to persuade and gain agreement with cross-functional teams and effectively communicate with multiple levels of an organization
- Participate in design reviews to improve mechanical and thermal design
- Exercise engineering judgment to select and develop methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria to secure project success
- Analyze test data and reports to determine if design meets functional and performance specifications
- Interface with internal departments to ensure cost and schedule goals are met
- Diagnose issues of diverse scope with design, field performance, root cause/failure analysis, reliability, and manufacturing test yields of existing power supply products
- Recommend and implement corrective actions to address issues
