Senior Applications Engineer - ATE Test

Role Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Applications Engineer to provide technical leadership and support for Advantest’s V93000 Semiconductor Test Systems. In this role, you will work closely with customers and partners to deliver innovative test solutions, drive successful implementations, and influence business outcomes through technical excellence.

What You Will Do

Lead technical engagements throughout the sales and support lifecycle, ensure Advantest products meet customer specifications, analyze complex customer requirements, design and validate test solutions, and serve as a technical liaison between customers and Advantest’s field and factory teams.

This role requires a strong understanding of semiconductor devices, proven debugging skills, and proficiency in Java programming and Linux environments. Experience with V93000 SmarTest 7 and SmarTest 8 platforms is a strong plus.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, Computer Science, or a related field
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in semiconductor testing
• Strong understanding of semiconductor devices and proven debugging skills for test programs
• Proficiency in Java programming and working knowledge of Linux environments
• Ability to quickly learn and develop test programs using high-level APIs in Java or C++
• Experience with V93000 SmarTest 7 and SmarTest 8 platforms is a strong plus
• Familiarity with scripting languages such as Perl and Python is a plus
• Knowledge of SoC, HPC, and High-Speed I/O device testing is desirable
• Hands-on experience with the V93000 platform is preferred
