Job Description
Adventist Health Bakersfield is seeking a qualified Nurse Practitioner (NP) to provide expert clinical care in general or specialty areas. The role involves assessing, planning, and implementing patient care, providing health assessments, and working under the scope of practice of a nurse practitioner. Requirements
- Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of practice
- Nurse Practitioner (NP) licensure in state of practice
- Cardiac Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) or Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Heartsaver CPR (CPR) or Basic Life Support (BLS) or Healthstream Basic Life Support (HS-BLS) or RQIBLS
- Interview patients, construct medical histories, performs physical exams, and evaluates patient responses.
- Provides appropriate patient education and handles medication administration.
- Oversees documentation and continuity of care.
- Adheres to cost-containment measures.
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
