AECOM is seeking an Environmental Technician for our Borger, Texas field office. The Environmental Technician supports environmental site assessment, investigation, and remediation activities by conducting inspection, sampling, and contractor oversight tasks.
Requirements
- Conducting routine fieldwork including sampling of environmental media (e.g., soil, groundwater, surface water, soil vapor, and air), utilizing standard field equipment and instruments for data collection and monitoring
- Performing environmental site assessments/inspections and basic calculations related to site investigation and remediation activities
- Managing field sample chain-of-custody documentation, packaging, and shipping to laboratories
- Performing operation and maintenance (O&M) on remediation systems
- Overseeing contractor field tasks related to site investigation and remediation activities
- Supporting the coordination of field activities, including utility locating, surveying, and oversight of investigation and remediation projects under the direction and guidance of project managers
- Documenting field activities accurately and maintains detailed, organized field notes in accordance with project requirements
- Communicating effectively with project managers and team members to provide timely updates on field progress, and safety observations
