Procurement Specialist

As a Procurement Specialist at Aecon, you will be responsible for all purchasing related activities and ensuring materials/services are delivered to site on time. You will work with the Procurement Manager to develop detailed plans to optimize the delivery of equipment, materials, supplies, and services for quality, cost, and schedule.

Requirements

• 1-5 years' experience within a purchasing department
• Knowledge of purchasing principles, techniques, practices, and ethics
• Knowledge of fundamentals of contract law, negotiating business agreements, and laws of requesting tenders, proposals, and quotations
• Experience working on large civil infrastructure projects is considered an asset
• Proven organizational skills and ability to work under pressure in order to meet deadlines and handle multiple tasks within a fast-paced work environment
