[B] Health Care Aide, Casual Union- AgeCare Miller Crossing

At AgeCare, we empower residents to live their lives to the fullest by prioritizing their health and well-being. We are seeking a Health Care Aide to provide personal care and perform selected tasks under the direction of their supervisor.

Requirements

• Graduate of Health Care Aide program (or provincial equivalent certificate program with minimum 500 hours of theory & practicum)
• Experience working with seniors in the community health services setting
• Strong written and oral communication skills
• Demonstrated organizational and time management skills
• Strong interpersonal and customer focus skills
• Demonstrated sound skills and knowledge of providing personal care duties
• Current Basic Cardiac Life Support and First Aid certification recommended
• Ability to perform tasks that are necessary for the position, e.g. lifting/transferring clients.
• Vulnerable Sector Check (including a Criminal Background Check) or be willing to obtain one
