Job Description
The Dietary Aide is responsible for assisting in the preparation and serving of meals and ensuring that work areas are maintained in a safe and sanitary condition. Must possess a Food Handler's Certificate and have excellent customer service skills. Preferably, the individual has previous experience in the food service industry and working with seniors.
Requirements
- Food Handler's Certificate
- Previous experience in the food service industry and working with seniors (preferred)
- Food Service Worker Training Program
- Excellent customer service skills
- Physical ability to lift and transfer heavy, hot items, and stand/walk for majority of shift
- Proficiency in a second language (asset)
- Vulnerable Sector Check (including a criminal background check) or willingness to obtain one
