AIM Independent Living Center is a nonprofit that empowers people with disabilities to lead self‑directed lives through education, advocacy, and peer support. Over 30 years, it has delivered four core services—peer counseling, information and referral, independent living skills training, and individual and systems advocacy—to clients of all disability types, without economic or other eligibility barriers. Its unique strength lies in a board and staff largely comprised of people with disabilities, who serve as authentic peers and bring lived‑experience insight to program design and delivery. Job Description
Thank you for your interest in AIM. Please note that completing an application does not constitute a job offer and you should not begin working with a consumer. You are required to complete an orientation with a member of the AIM staff. You will be contacted by AIM when you are selected for hire.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Must have a Social Security number
- Be able to perform the tasks that need to be completed
- Be willing and able to complete an application and other forms. These forms include health screening, fingerprint screening, and a criminal background check
- Complete all required training through OPWDD and AIM Independent Living Center
