AIM Independent Living Center is a nonprofit that empowers people with disabilities to lead self‑directed lives through education, advocacy, and peer support. Over 30 years, it has delivered four core services—peer counseling, information and referral, independent living skills training, and individual and systems advocacy—to clients of all disability types, without economic or other eligibility barriers. Its unique strength lies in a board and staff largely comprised of people with disabilities, who serve as authentic peers and bring lived‑experience insight to program design and delivery. As a member of the global independent‑living movement, AIM champions equal opportunity and inclusive community integration for all its consumers.
