Engineering Draftsman

Ainsworth, a subsidiary of GDI, is seeking a full-time Building Automation Controls Engineering Draftsman for its NY/NJ branch. The role involves creating, organizing, and tracking construction project design documents and as-builts, working collaboratively with the design engineering team. Responsibilities include submittal packages, collaboration with clients, and ensuring seamless digital delivery of documents. This position requires a proactive individual with strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Requirements

• Prepare comprehensive submittal packages in collaboration with design engineers.
• Foster direct collaboration with engineers to expedite the completion of designed submittals.
• Coordinate design turnover meetings involving engineers, project managers, and sales personnel.
• Ensure seamless digital delivery of design documents to clients.
• Assume responsibility for effective communication with engineers, project managers, and clients, contributing to efficient project submittal tracking.
