Job description
AKIVA is seeking a Drafter to support the VA Long Beach Healthcare System Engineering Service Projects Section, reporting to the Chief of Projects & Construction Management. The Drafter supports and assists the contracted Architect with site documentation of campus buildings and utilities in AutoCAD, Revit, and ZLink formats, and assists with the drawing updates required as moves and minor construction are completed.
Assist the contracted Architect and the VA Architect in creating and executing drafting services for varied spaces throughout the campus, including plans, reflected ceiling plans, and elevations in AutoCAD, Revit, and other visual software including ZLink. Prepare detailed AutoCAD and Revit designs, plans, sketches, perspectives, color schemes, and visual aids for design presentations.
Must be authorized to work in the United States. Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) accreditation is preferred. Experience with the selection, specification, procurement, and placement of furnishings is also preferred.
