Job Description
Alberta Blue Cross is seeking a permanent full-time Legal Counsel to join their growing Legal Services department. The successful candidate will provide practical and strategic legal advice, draft and review contracts, and work collaboratively with business units to identify and mitigate privacy issues.
Requirements
- Law degree from a recognized institution and membership in good standing of the Law Society of Alberta
- 5+ years relevant legal experience, ideally gained in-house and/or at a reputable law firm
- Demonstrated experience or strong working knowledge of insurance law, privacy legislation and employment and human rights law
