Associate Database Administrator

Role Overview

The Associate Database Administrator will work 24X7 shifts, adjusting their schedule to fit operation support. They will communicate progress and resolution to clients, document work, and perform performance monitoring. The role involves mentoring team members, conducting root cause analysis, and acting as a single point of contact for escalations.

What You Will Do

The Associate Database Administrator will conduct performance monitoring, document problems and solutions, prepare documentation, report defects, and work on complex database-related issues. They will also mentor and coach team members, perform proactive reviews of hosting environments, and support highly-available cross-enterprise applications.

They will be proficient in Microsoft SQL Server, T-SQL, PowerShell, and other technologies. Requirements

• 1-3 years of working experience
• SQL installation, patching, support, maintenance, High availability etc
• Microsoft SQL Server Certified
• Advanced SQL Server knowledge
• T-SQL, PowerShell, or equivalent scripting knowledge
• Working knowledge of Windows Operating System, Windows Clustering, AlwaysOn, and Active Directory
• Proficient in host and deploy enterprise software, Azure, virtualization, cloud
• Troubleshooting tools like BlackBox, Fiddler, WireShark, or equivalent system/application/performance monitoring tools
• Ability to train on working with Development Teams
• Good problem-solving skills
• Verbal and written command of the English language
