Machine Operator or Machine Tender/Packer

The Machine Operator I and Machine Tender/Packer roles are responsible for safe operation of machinery, packaging finished goods, and maintaining quality standards. The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or equivalent, 1-2 years of mechanical experience, and good communication skills. The role requires working in a fast-paced environment and being able to perform repetitive motions. The position is available for 8-hour shifts with overtime as required.

Requirements

• Follow all Company policies regarding safety, quality and attendance
• Perform duties in a safe manner and report all observed safety hazards
• Maintain a neat and orderly work area
• Assist Operators with extruder start-ups
• Thread up equipment with film
• Change formula percentages on blenders
• Identify and replace dirty vacuum pump filters, screen packs, and sock sleeves
• Assist in giving breaks to Packers on the lines
• Participate in employee-driven teams to address scrap, quality, safety or other production-related issues
