Job Description
The Senior Surveyor I position involves examining and reporting on vessels and structures during and after construction to ensure they meet classification requirements and adhere to safety regulations. This role involves administrative duties, monitoring business performance, and leading or training lower-level surveyors. ABS is a leading marine classification and safety services provider.
Requirements
- Qualifications from a tertiary institution in a relevant field (engineering or physical science)
- Minimum three years of experience as a Surveyor II
- Knowledge of ABS Rules, Guides, statutory regulations, and related instructions
- Understanding of shipbuilding practices and vessel operations
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and physically demanding environment
- Certification/license in relevant area of specialization may be required
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
