
Job description
As an Engineering Technician at Applied Materials, you will perform complex electro-mechanical technical functions and activities, including design, test, and troubleshooting of electronics and electro-mechanical systems. You will work in a supportive team environment, learning and growing your career as you take on challenges and drive innovative solutions for our customers.
Your main responsibilities will include performing mechanical, electrical, pneumatic & vacuum and process testing on AMAT platforms, observing all safety standards, and maintaining a secure, safe, clean and healthy work environment. You will also provide technical input to correct problems at the system level and in the manufacturing process, and provide training to lower level Engineering Technicians.
This role requires a full understanding of the company's manufacturing and/or engineering processes, as well as excellent interpersonal and communication skills to effectively interface across departmental/functional lines. You will have the opportunity to develop advanced specialized expertise within an analytical/scientific area and impact the effectiveness of your team and closely related teams.
