Applied Materials is a global leader in materials engineering solutions. We're looking for a Supplier Engineer to develop and qualify key suppliers for paint and fluoropolymer coating area. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge in the subject area and skills for working with internal and external customers and suppliers.
Requirements
- Develop/Qualify/Managing key suppliers for paint and fluoropolymer coating area
- Strong knowledge in subject area and skills for working with internal & external customers and suppliers
- Evaluates technical requirements of new and existing products
- Applies knowledge of qualified sources and products to recommend materials to Design Engineering
- Work with New Product Development teams to ensure the integrity and clarity of engineering drawing requirements
- Participation with New Product Introduction teams to ensure suppliers are involved in the development and review of specifications
- Continuous involvement in the Supplier Selection Process to develop a supply base that provides competitive advantage in quality, value/cost, delivery and technology
- Leads the supplier technical audit process and evaluates supplier performance and capability
- Drives continuous improvement opportunities at supplier
- Leads quality problem resolutions and incident management
- Assist in cost planning by monitoring key cost drivers, supply markets
