Cosmetologist - Loews Arlington Hotel

Role Overview

The Cosmetologist is responsible for providing beauty services at The Spa Loews Arlington. They will work with guests to determine and recommend beauty treatments, cut, trim, and shape hair, and perform other services such as shampooing, conditioning, and massaging. The Cosmetologist will work in a fast-paced environment, providing exceptional customer service and maintaining a clean and organized workspace.

What You Will Do

The Cosmetologist will perform a variety of beauty services, including hair cutting, coloring, and styling, as well as nail and skin care services. They will work with guests to determine their needs and provide personalized recommendations for treatments. The Cosmetologist will also be responsible for maintaining a clean and organized workspace, and for attending scheduled meetings and training sessions.

Requirements

• Valid state license in cosmetology
• Preferred training or certification from hair styling or cosmetology school
• Customer service experience, preferably in a spa
• Previous hair styling experience preferred
• Ability to explain various treatments/services to guests
• Excellent customer service skills and work ethic
• Efficient, well organized, and able to handle a variety of duties simultaneously
• Energetic, enthusiastic and motivational
• Professional manner, discretion, and appearance
• Excellent verbal and written skills
• Strong team player
• Ability to lift 25 lbs
• Ability to stand for long periods of time
• Awareness of proper body mechanics to prevent injury
