Applied AI Engineer

At Artisan, we're creating AI Employees, called Artisans, and software which is sleek, easy to use, and replaces the endless stack of point solutions. We're looking for a deeply technical and product-minded Applied AI Engineer to help build the core intelligence behind Ava, our flagship AI employee—an outbound sales BDR that performs real work, with real results.

Requirements

• 3–5+ years of experience in ML/AI engineering, ideally in applied LLM or agentic system contexts.
• Experience building end-to-end applications using modern LLM tooling (LangChain, LangGraph, or custom frameworks).
• Deep understanding of reasoning, prompt orchestration, and memory mechanisms.
• Strong software engineering skills—able to write clean, maintainable Python and backend code.
• Experience integrating AI models into production environments with real users.
