Director, Corporate Accounting

British Columbia Investment Management Corporation (BCI) is seeking a Director, Corporate Accounting to lead the corporate accounting and financial management functions. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading a digital transformation initiative, implementing new technologies and processes, and managing organizational change.

Requirements

• Undergraduate degree combined with a CPA or equivalent
• Minimum of 10 years accounting experience with progressive management responsibilities
• Experience in consolidation accounting and reporting
• Strong conceptual and technical understanding of investment management principles and practices
• Change leadership skills
• Experience leading finance transformation projects
• Knowledge of robotic process automation (RPA) and artificial intelligence applications in finance
• Strategic mindset
• Excellent attention to detail, analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Excellent verbal and written communication at both the technical and strategic level
• Excellent interpersonal abilities, organizational and leadership skills
• Service mindset in building, maintaining, and supporting stakeholder relationships
• Advanced proficiency with Microsoft products
• Initiative, drive, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
