Cloud Data Engineer

Role Overview

As a Cloud Data Engineer at BearingPoint, you will support customers in developing forward-looking business models, IT strategies, and architectures. You will design and deploy cloud-based data architectures and pipelines, and advise customers on digitization strategy and implementation.

What You Will Do

Your primary functions and tasks will include developing data & analytics architectures and roadmaps, supporting data management and governance, and designing innovative data integration scenarios. You will also develop cloud native business solutions and integrate cloud solutions/data platforms into company service structures.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Natural Sciences, or a related field
• Extensive experience in designing and deploying cloud-based data architectures and pipelines
• Proven experience as a cloud data engineer
• Strong expertise in programming languages such as SQL, Python, and others
• In-depth knowledge of cloud infrastructure and services
• Expertise in real-time data processing and analytics platforms like Apache Flink, Apache Beam, and Google Dataflow
• Knowledge of Big Data Tools & Frameworks, Real-time stream processing, Data Warehouse, Data Vault, Data Catalogs
• Experience working with Databricks, Snowflake and MS Fabric
• Solid knowledge of cloud automation, security and connectivity
• Strong knowledge of data governance and security policies
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
