Job Description
We are seeking a Financial Controller to lead our finance team in Cape Town, South Africa. The ideal candidate will have a bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field, and at least 5 years of experience in financial management, with a focus on logistics, shipping, or terminal operations. The role involves preparing financial statements, analyzing performance, and leading the budgeting process, as well as ensuring compliance with local tax regulations and industry-specific laws.
Requirements
- Bachelors Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field
- 5+ years of experience in financial management
- At least 2-3 years in a supervisory or leadership role
- Experience in a logistics, shipping, or terminal operations environment
- Strong knowledge of financial regulations, accounting standards, and reporting requirements
- Ability to communicate financial information to non-financial stakeholders
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and meet tight deadlines
