Job Description
Boom is seeking a Senior Propulsion Engineer to lead the development of the Symphony compression system. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's or Master's in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering or related field, proficiency in Python or similar programming languages, and experience in axial turbomachinery design.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering or related field
- Proficiency in Python or similar programming languages
- Design experience in axial turbomachinery (including meanline and 3D steady and unsteady CFD)
- Ability to navigate through CAD to support module integration efforts in the engine
- Experience with high speed compressor airfoil design and tuning
- Experience working with engine cycle analysis tools such as NPSS or PyCycle
- Willingness to both speak and listen, to give opinions and receive opinions, to consider all the data and be part of building the team consensus to move forward
