Project Engineer III - Substation

Project Engineer III - Substation job requires mentoring junior engineers, managing customer relations, and performing complex substation engineering tasks. This position involves supervising work, assisting in training, and performing basic functions of Microsoft Office software. The role requires a B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering and 5-10 years of applicable experience, including licensure as a Professional Engineer.

Requirements

• Mentor and schedule work of junior engineers, designers, CAD operators
• Manage customer relations and business development
• Perform complex substation engineering tasks, including physical layout design, protection/control design, relay settings programming, field support, substation commissioning, relay testing
• Perform and direct project design, including engineering calculations, computer design software, and referencing engineering procedures and design manuals
• Prepare complex project documents, including specifications and bid documents
• Support a company-wide safety culture and follow established safety standards, policies, and best practices
