Food Services Assistant

Role Overview

We are looking for a Casual - Food Services Assistant to join an experienced team at St Vincent's Care Services Heathcote, helping to create a welcoming and supportive care experience for residents. The role involves working in the kitchen or on serving, completing wash-up duties, and unloading deliveries. The ideal candidate will have previous experience in a similar role, high customer service skills, and the ability to work in a multidisciplinary team.

What You Will Do

The Food Services Assistant will be responsible for providing an excellent food service for residents, working in the kitchen or on serving, completing wash-up duties, and unloading deliveries. They will also be required to work within a multidisciplinary team and provide a catering and kitchen service that is consistent with the mission and philosophy of the organisation.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a similar role
• Experience in an aged care facility or hospital environment desirable
• High level of customer service skills
• Ability to work in the kitchen or on serving, completing wash-up duties, unloading deliveries &/or whatever is required to provide an excellent food service for our residents
• Strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills
• Ability to work within a multidisciplinary team
• Understanding of Aged Care and resident rights and responsibilities
• Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check (valid within 6 months)
• NDIS Worker Screening Check
