Electronics Technician

Electronics Technician at Brookhaven National Laboratory responsible for troubleshooting and repairing complex power supply and electronic systems, supporting development and construction of prototype power supplies, and maintaining safety practices.

Requirements

• Troubleshoot and repair complex power supply and other electronic systems using test equipment.
• Support the development and construction of prototype power supplies and other electronic equipment.
• Repair and replace components and circuit boards in electronic systems.
• Support operations and troubleshoot power supply and control systems.
• Proficient with schematics and mechanical assembly drawings.
• Maintain and implement safety practices and procedures applicable to daily activities.
• Ability to work from schematics, diagrams, and written procedures.
• Strong computer skills with applications such as Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Basic machine shop skills.
• Effective interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with a diverse group of technical staff.
