Cadrex is searching for a CNC Operator I who will operate both manual and CNC machines according to program and product specifications to produce small to medium sized components as either as a finished product or as part of another larger product to be assembled. The position requires basic understanding of machining principles and CNC machine operations, mechanical aptitude, and a strong interest in CNC machining.
Requirements
- Operates manual machines such as saws, mills, and lathes
- Positions parts in specified locations using a variety of fastening devices
- Operates hand-held tools, electrical tools, and/or pneumatic tools
- Operates lift equipment as needed
- Uses precision measuring tools as required
- Ability to recognize various material types used in department and adjust equipment if needed
- Ability to recognize worn tooling and change in machine as required
- Verifies accuracy of completed product or batch inspections
- Reports defective materials, discrepancies, process malfunctions or completed products that are not in compliance with company and/or customer specifications to the Department Lead
- Maintains the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follows prescribed safety regulations
- Completes all necessary paperwork as required, including in process or carbon copy production sheets
