Principal Investigator, Cardiovascular Research

Calico is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Principal Investigator, Cardiovascular Research to lead laboratory investigations and drug development efforts focused on cardiovascular diseases during aging.

Requirements

• MD/PhD preferred, MD or PhD in molecular biology, biochemistry, disease pathogenesis, or a related field, with emphasis on the mechanisms of cardiovascular or other aging-related diseases
• Rising or proven leader with 5-10 years of experience in cardiovascular research, with a track record of success in cutting edge discoveries and impactful publications and/or patents and national or international recognition
• Extensive knowledge of cardiovascular biology and aging-related disease mechanisms
• Experience with in vitro and in vivo cardiovascular disease model systems
• Creative and critical thinking, excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
• Creative and critical thinking skills
