Job Description
Calico is seeking a Senior Scientist, In Vivo Neuroscience to join a collaborative research team focused on Parkinson’s Disease biology. The candidate will design, execute, and interpret in vivo experiments, provide scientific leadership, and model creation. The position requires a PhD in biology, neuroscience, or related discipline, and 5+ years of relevant post-doctoral or industry experience.
Requirements
- PhD in biology, neuroscience, or related discipline
- 5+ years of relevant post-doctoral or industry experience
- Deep knowledge of neuroanatomy, brain sectioning, and clearing methods
- Proficient in stereotactic surgery
- Track record of linking molecular to functional changes
- Experience with viral and genetic tools
- Strong teamwork and proactive communication skills
- Self-motivated and able to work independently
- Proficiency with R, Python, or equivalent platform for data analysis and visualization
