Semiconductor Orbital Welder

Role Overview

Perform a variety of operations in a cleanroom setting to manufacture and qualify High Purity (HP) gas lines and manifolds. All welding supports the HP gas and chemical delivery product lines, including gas cabinets, VMB’s and panels.

What You Will Do

Perform orbital welding of stainless-steel tubing and components, cutting, facing, prepping, of stainless steel and components, create and log weld coupons, recommend improvement in quality or production standards, read, analyze, and interpret P&ID’s, technical drawings, understand the scope-of-work, visually inspect work performed for quality, cosmetics, workmanship and conformance to drawings.

Requirements

• A minimum 2+ years’ experience in a semiconductor manufacturing environment as an orbital welder
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
• Ability to redline documentation to represent as-built condition
• Ability to lead and train other employees
• Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percentage and to draw and interpret bar graphs
• High degree of orbital welding aptitude and attention to detail
• Ability to interpret build to print diagrams and engineering drawings
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Strong analytical skills and ability to perform to complex requirements
• Excellent customer service skills, including effective listening
• Ability to work in a dynamic, rapidly changing high pressure environment
• Ability to work in a team environment
• Excellent problem-solving ability
