Mold Maker/Tool and Die Maker

Canplas is looking for a Mold Maker/Tool and Die Maker to join their innovative production facility. The role involves manufacturing mould components, assembling complete moulds, and training other personnel. The ideal candidate has Ontario or Interprovincial certification as a Mold Maker OR Tool and Die Maker and 5+ years of experience in a similar field.

Requirements

• Ontario or Interprovincial certification as a Mold Maker OR Tool and Die Maker
• 5+ years in a Mold Making or Tool and Die work
• Manufacturing experience is a strong asset
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and CAD drawings
• Ability to operate manual and automated metalworking machinery independently
• Familiarity with molds featuring slides, lifters, mechanical pulls and set operations
• Training or knowledge on welding, CNC, EDM, hot runners systems and CAD programming are strong assets
• Self-motivated, able to manage multiple projects with minimal supervision
• Skilled in tight tolerances, jigs, fixtures, and troubleshooting
• Strong communication skills and collaborative approach
