Health Partner Engagement Specialist II

Role Overview

The Health Partner Engagement Specialist II is responsible for provider contracting services, provider assistance, and acts as the engagement lead for high-value, strategic health partners. This role requires a strong understanding of provider network management processes and services, as well as excellent negotiation and communication skills. The Specialist will work closely with leadership and stakeholders to evaluate policy and process changes for potential provider impacts and monitor the implementation of key initiatives.

What You Will Do

The Health Partner Engagement Specialist II will execute the quality, engagement, and contracting strategy, develop provisions based on cost, quality/analysis, and monitor key metrics for the assigned Market. They will also lead for identified Market performance and engagement strategic initiatives, coordinate the account strategy, and provide account support to drive overall satisfaction and engagement of the Provider network.

Why It Might Be a Fit

This role requires a minimum of five years of healthcare experience, including three years of direct work experience in provider relations and/or provider contracting. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in a healthcare-related field, or equivalent years of relevant work experience, and a Master's Degree is preferred. The Specialist will also need to be knowledgeable of federal and state laws and regulations pertaining to provider contracting.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a healthcare-related field, or equivalent years of relevant work experience
• Minimum of five years of healthcare experience, including three years of direct work experience in provider relations and/or provider contracting
• Managed care experience is required
• NCQA PCMH experience is preferred
• Intermediate proficiency level with Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel
