Branded and Unbranded Jewellery Expert

At Catawiki, every day brings the extraordinary! We're a one-of-a-kind marketplace for buying and selling special objects. We're seeking an experienced Expert in Jewellery (Branded and Unbranded) to support our team of experts and jewellery sellers in Italy.

Requirements

• Gemmology Diploma from one of the schools recognised by the FEEG or GIA
• 5–10 years’ experience in the jewellery, diamonds or precious stones trade with knowledge of the market and the ability to perform gemmological and authentication tests
• Project management capabilities, with proven experience partnering closely with other cross-functional teams to drive complex initiatives
• Good grasp of market prices and understanding of jewellery second-hand market and B2B and B2C jewellery market dynamics
• Experience in appraising and assessing jewellery
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions
• Extensive trade knowledge with a network of potential sellers and experts in your field
• A real team player with excellent communication and negotiation skills
• Proficiency in computer tools used for data analysis, reporting and presentations
• The diplomatic competence needed to act as a mediator in disputes between users
• Fluent English language skills; Italian is a plus
