Role Overview

Join our Digital Engineering Solutions team as a Senior Database Administrator. You will be part of the Development group, helping design and implement cloud-based solutions, and ensuring software development and operations teams work collaboratively. You will be engaged in research and development, providing guidance and oversight to AEC practices at CDM Smith.

What You Will Do

Take ownership of projects, design database schema and data models, establish security measures, monitor database performance, develop disaster recovery strategies, implement data governance procedures, and manage and maintain databases.

Requirements

• Extensive DBA expertise in large-scale SQL Server settings
• Proficient in delivering high- and low-level design for projects
• Proficient in database design principles
• Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Proficiency in creating best practice policies and procedures for data security and integrity
• Experience managing data warehouses, data lakes, and cloud-based data storage solutions
• Proficiency with SQL, Python, PowerShell scripting, and related technologies
• Proficiency in overseeing cloud-based data storage systems
• Experience with container technologies, Docker, Kubernetes, and Azure DevOps pipelines
