Job Description
Cemex is seeking a skilled Maintenance Mechanic/Journeyman to join their team. The role involves maintaining and repairing industrial equipment, performing welding and fabrication work, and troubleshooting mechanical and electrical systems. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting plant operations by ensuring equipment runs safely, reliably, and efficiently.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- MSHA certification (or obtain within a reasonable time frame)
- 3 to 6 years of mechanical, welding, or maintenance experience in an industrial environment
- Ability to use a variety of hand and power tools, welding equipment, and diagnostic tools
- Proficiency in reading technical manuals and safety documentation
- Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
- Basic computer and typing skills
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Bilingual skills (Spanish) a plus
