Cenovus Energy is seeking a Senior Production Engineer/Technologist to optimize the performance of SAGD operations in Canada. The successful candidate will work within a multidisciplinary team to drive production growth, maximize reserve recovery, and improve steam efficiency. The role requires strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with experience in SAGD operations, artificial lift systems, and related surface facilities.
Requirements
- Legally authorized to work in Canada
- Professional Engineering designation (P.Eng.) or Engineering Diploma required with 8+ years of engineering experience in the oil and gas industry, preferably within SAGD operations
- Field operations experience and/or experience in production, reservoir, development, or completions engineering associated with SAGD well pairs and thermal facilities is considered a strong asset
- Strong understanding of SAGD operations, artificial lift systems (including ESPs), and related surface facilities, with familiarity in PFDs, P&IDs, and subsurface disciplines
- Demonstrated analytical and technical capabilities, including experience with data manipulation, visualization, PI systems, and Power BI
- Self-motivated and adaptable problem solver with strong communication, organizational, and stakeholder engagement skills, with occasional travel to site required
