Patient Service Representative I

The Patient Service Representative I is responsible for providing customer service and ensuring the patient experience is exemplary. They coordinate clerical tasks, schedule appointments, and manage patient records.

Requirements

• Welcomes and greets all patients and visitors
• Registers new patients and updates existing patient demographics
• Collects outstanding patient balances
• Obtains referrals and authorizations
• Scans incoming faxes, consents, reports, and patient information
• Generates batch transmittal reports
• Schedules follow up services and office visits
• Responds to inquiries
• Keeps medical office supplies stocked
• Protects patient confidentiality
• Ensures proper hand off of responsibilities
• Meets attendance criteria and starts work promptly
• Respects cultural diversity
• Demonstrates good use of time and resources
• Ensures accuracy and completeness of medical records
