CCLS Staff Attorney - Housing Law

CCLS is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization providing free legal services to low-income individuals in Central California. This staff attorney role will support the Shriver Right to Counsel and Homelessness Prevention Projects, handling eviction defense and litigation, conducting outreach, and working with pro bono volunteers. The position offers a fast-paced environment with the opportunity to contribute to the prevention of homelessness.

Requirements

• Active member in good standing of the State Bar of California
• Minimum three years of legal experience as a practicing attorney
• Collaborative, team-oriented individual able to work with colleagues and external partners
• Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills
• Bilingual ability (English and at least one other language commonly spoken in the Central Valley, preferred)
• Commitment to CCLS’ mission and core values
• Ability to travel as needed
