Senior Electronics Engineer I

CesiumAstro is a startup developing out-of-the-box communication systems for satellites, UAVs, and launch vehicles. We are seeking a Senior Electronics Engineer I to join our Digital and Mixed-Signal Electronics team, responsible for designing complex electronics modules for space and airborne applications.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science (BS) degree or higher in Electrical Engineering from an accredited university
• Minimum of 4 years of industry or university research experience in board-level electronics design, analysis, and test
• Direct experience designing high-reliability electronics for space or defense applications
• Experience owning the design phase of circuits or boards, including trade studies, key part selection, and detailed design
• Experience delivering subcircuit or board designs to production and deployment
• Experience performing complex PCB layout, such as high-density interconnect (HDI) and high-speed digital or power electronics
• Experience running board-level signal integrity and/or power integrity simulation tools such as Ansys SIwave, ADS SIPro, or Mentor Hyperlynx
• Working knowledge of adjacent fields, such as software and mechanical
• Proficiency in electronics design tools such as Altium
• Strong lab experience for bring-up and verification of new hardware
• Excellent written and spoken communication skills
