I&E Technician

The Instrument and Electrical (I & E) Technician is responsible for safely maintaining, repairing, and/or replacing the physical equipment in the plant safely, correctly, and efficiently. The technician efficiently repairs, or if necessary, replaces the plant equipment in order to permit the plant to operate on a continuous basis.

Requirements

• Installation, repair and maintenance of all process controls
• Analyzing systems and electrical systems
• Dismantling, cleaning, replacing parts, assembling and calibrating pneumatic and electronic instruments
• Determining causes for malfunctioning instruments and taking appropriate action to correct trouble
• Reading electrical blueprints and schematics
• Performing preventive maintenance on equipment
• Installing, altering and repairing electrical systems
• Following all safety rules and keeping work areas in clean condition
• Working overtime and call-outs on weekends, nights and holidays including shift work during plant outages
