Lead Data Platform Architect

Role Overview

The Lead Data Platform Architect is responsible for designing and building the data infrastructure to support business decision-making. This role is data-outcome-driven and requires a strong understanding of business needs and data requirements. The architect will design and implement the simplest architecture that works, scaling complexity only as business needs to evolve.

What You Will Do

Design and implement data and integration platforms that turn fragmented operational data into clear, trusted, and usable insights. Partner with IT, Business Performance, Finance, Sales, Service Delivery, and Product teams to translate operational needs into usable data. Ensure all integrations and data flows adhere to security, compliance, and risk standards.

Requirements

• 7–10+ years in data engineering, system integration, or enterprise architecture roles
• Strong hands-on experience designing and building data platforms that support analytics and decision-making
• Experience with ELT/ETL, SQL, data modeling, and data governance
• Practical experience evaluating and using data platforms such as Snowflake, Azure SQL, Databricks, or similar
• Hands-on experience designing and integrating APIs and distributed systems
• Strong cloud architecture experience (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
• Ability to balance technical rigor with business pragmatism
• Proven ability to work cross-functionally and explain architectural tradeoffs to non-technical stakeholders
