Job description
Chemours is seeking a Utilities Engineer to join our growing Plant Utilities team. This position will be available at the Washington Works facility located in Parkersburg, West Virginia and report directly to the Power & Services Manufacturing Technology Manager. The role will have engineering responsibilities as part of a broader engineering team for maintaining continuous operation of several site utilities, developing and implementing plans for utility capacity expansion, all supporting the area’s EHS, Cost & Reliability goals.
The Utilities Engineer will specifically support the various site well-water production, distribution, and pre-treatment systems, as well as production and distribution of compressed air, and distribution of Nitrogen and Natural Gas utilities across the site. This position will monitor performance and generate documentation as necessary to support compliance with site regulations and permits (NPDES, Title V, etc), and serve as back-up support for other utilities systems including steam and demineralized water.
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of a BS in Chemical Engineering from an ABET-accredited institution and 5+ years of engineering experience in an Industrial Process. The candidate should have demonstrated knowledge of typical equipment used in a Chemical Plant and superior oral and written skills.
