Job Description
Children's Healthcare of Atlanta is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to provide expert patient care for behavioral and mental health patients in crisis. The successful candidate will have experience in psychiatric or behavioral health and be able to provide direct clinical care and support.
Requirements
- One year of psychiatric or behavioral health experience in the medical field
- Or one year of experience as a clinical nurse in a medical inpatient/emergency department setting working with pediatric and adolescent patient populations
- Bachelor of Science in nursing
- 2-3 years of clinical nurse experience
- Experience in the emergency room setting
- Knowledge of normal/abnormal growth and development throughout the age continuum
- Previous experience with crisis management and de-escalation techniques and strategies
- Experience with and knowledge of the assessment, management and treatment of behavioral health patients
