Import Global Trade Analyst

Ciena is seeking an Import Global Trade Analyst to support the organization’s import operations and ensure compliance with North American trade regulations. The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented and proactive professional with a foundational understanding of international trade regulations, a commitment to continuous improvement, and a willingness to learn and grow in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in International Business, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field.
• Internship or coursework in international trade, logistics, or supply chain preferred but not required.
• Fluent in English communication both verbal and written.
• Basic knowledge of import/export processes and global trade regulations.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and identify trends.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and familiarity with trade management software is a plus.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Problem-Solving: Ability to identify and resolve import-related challenges efficiently.
• Adaptability: Willingness to learn and adapt to changes in global trade regulations and business needs.
• Team Collaboration: Work effectively in cross-functional teams and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders.
• Time Management: Prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
