Combines medications and chemicals for specific use at Cincinnati Eye Institute and other facilities. Maintains a drug inventory and provides counseling to physicians.

Requirements

• Compound, weigh, and record chemicals before combining to meet dosage requirements.
• Work with pharmacies to ensure a proper understanding of their needs.
• Maintain a drug inventory and provide counseling to physicians.
• Conduct and recommend stability studies on formulations.
• Prepare for and assist audits by the FDA and DEA
• Assists with monthly planning and making daily assignments for the Pharmacy Staff.
• Maintain knowledge of medications' dosages, interactions, and side effects per symptoms and treatments.
• Adheres to all safety policies and procedures in performing job duties and responsibilities while supporting a culture of high quality and great customer service.
• Performs other duties that may be necessary or in the best interest of the organization, as defined by management.
