Job Description
The Heavy Equipment Operator I/II - Water Distribution position operates heavy construction and maintenance equipment to perform required construction, maintenance, and operational duties in the water and sewer system. The role involves operating a variety of heavy equipment, including backhoes, tractors, and dump trucks, and requires a valid Class A CDL Driver's License and TCEQ licenses.
Requirements
- 1 year of experience in the operation of heavy equipment or 1 year of experience comparable to a Utility Worker I
- A high school diploma or GED
- Valid Class A CDL Driver's License issued by the State of Texas
- Valid TCEQ Class D Water Distribution or Wastewater Collection I license or the ability to obtain one within 180 days of employment
- Valid TCEQ Class C Water Distribution License (highly preferred)
- 2 years of experience in the operation of heavy equipment or 2 years of experience comparable to a Utility Worker II (for Heavy Equipment Operator II)
