Technical Lead - (Python, Azure, AI / Agentic systems)

Role Overview

The Technical Lead will oversee the day-to-day delivery of the workstream, partnering closely with the architecture team to define and own the technical direction for AI and Agentic capabilities on Azure using Python, within a key client programme.

What You Will Do

Own delivery, pace, and technical quality for a defined workstream, lead technical design in Python, own key technical decisions, mentor engineers and raise the engineering bar.

Prior Technical Lead experience on delivery-focused teams, strong hands-on Python skills, production experience on Azure, designing and building AI / agentic systems, comfortable working with architects and business stakeholders.

Requirements

• Strong hands-on Python skills
• Production experience on Azure (AKS, Functions, App Service, or equivalent)
• Designing and building AI / agentic systems (LLM orchestration, tool use, RAG, evaluation)
• Prior Technical Lead experience on delivery-focused teams
• Comfortable working with architects and business stakeholders
• Experience working in client-facing roles, with the ability to engage with UK-based client stakeholders
