Job Description
Ferrous Processing and Trading (FPT) is a premier processor, buyer, seller, and recycler of scrap metals, and is seeking an Equipment Operator to work at one of their Detroit, MI locations. The role involves operating various tools and equipment to process scrap metals, as well as performing physical labor and maintaining a clean work environment.
Requirements
- High School Diploma/GED or 1+ years of equipment operator experience
- Ability to work independently
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to maintain accurate records
- Ability to follow oral and written communication
- Ability to climb ladders or steps to reach objects
- Ability to endure physical and outdoor work on a daily basis
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs
- Pre-Employment background, physical, and hair drug screen required
