
Job description
The Lead Mechanical Engineer provides maintenance engineering support to ensure plant equipment availability is maximized. This role serves as a technical resource for planning, scheduling, and execution of mechanical maintenance.
Provide engineering design and specifications for mechanical equipment and systems, utilize reliability tools, and apply education to become familiar with corrosion and metallurgy requirements. Flag and advise the production team with regard to risks related to equipment reliability, process equipment availability, and mechanical integrity.
This role requires a strong background in mechanical engineering, with experience in rotating equipment, turbo machinery, pumping systems, and hydrodynamic design. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and problem-solving skills, and be able to work under minimal supervision.
