Chief Curator

The Colby College Museum of Art seeks an experienced Chief Curator to join its senior leadership team. The role involves establishing and directing curatorial strategy, developing and stewarding the Museum's art collection, and leading an ambitious staff of five. The Chief Curator will shape the future of one of the nation's leading academic museums and contribute to its overall vitality.

Requirements

• Master's degree required
• Knowledge of American art history required
• At least seven years of experience working in the arts, culture, and/or education
• Minimum of five years of progressive leadership experience in curatorial practice
• Exceptional written and oral communication skills
• Ability to motivate and manage staff, students, and/or emerging professionals
